Atlas only. Complete copy with 33 coloured pl. of zoology, 17 black and white pl. of botany, 3 plans, 4 folded maps (1 coloured) and 2 coloured section planes. The lithographs were designed by Prêtre, E. Bury, G.M., Nicollet, Vaillant, Delile and etched by Lebrun. This book was conceived as an iconographic supplement for the account of the expedition conducted by the French captains Ferret and Galinier during the years 1839-1843, published in Paris jointly in 3 volumes (1847). It is a precious invitation to discover the fauna and flora of the Horn of Africa in the first half of the 19th century.
