An art folder containing 25 etchings by Jakob Smits (1855-1928), with a foreword by Dr Jozef Muls. Ed. of 100 copies, one of 90 on Arches. Smits oeuvre depicts the life of the farmers in Achterbos, landscapes, Biblical scenes in a Kempian setting and portraits. In his works, he depicted the essence of the poor farming population and their deeply rooted faith.
