Copper engr., 46,8 x 55,5 cm, hand-coloured (sm. very light brown stain near central fold).
Hand-coloured copy of this rare map of America figuring the east coast, mostly derived from the map of Janssonius, with a large inset view of "Nieuw Amsterdam", probably the second printed view of New York at the time of the first publication (1655). Fourth state (with Fort Kasimier and Philadelphia), verso blank.
