Contemp. gilt calf, covers with gilt-ruled border and central oval ornament, spine with raised bands, a.e.g. (rubbed, spine def., front flyleaf gone). Good copy.

Rare example of a 16th-c. Bible printed by a woman printer, Lynsken Berckmans, for a woman publisher Anna van Ertborn. Repr. of the Vulgate ed. by the Dominican Leuven theologian Hentenius (1499-1566), 1st publ. Leuven 1547. Title within elaborate woodcut border. Printed in 2 col.
