Munting, A. - 10 hand-coloured engr. on laid paper by the Dutch botanist A. Munting (1626-1683). Extracted from “Naauwkeurige beschryving der aardgewassen, waar in de veelerley aart en bijzondere eigenschappen der boomen, heesters, kruyden, bloemen [...]". (Utrecht and Leiden: Pieter vander Aa and Francois Halma, 1696). Fascinating pl. in their way they feature the flowers on a disproportionally large scale, against idyllic landscape backgrounds. - De Chastillon, L. - 3 engr. extracted from Dionys Dodart’s (1634-1707) “Estampes pour servir à l'Histoire des plantes” published between 1685 and 1691. - 30 engr. by Bouquet after P.J.F. Turpin and Poiteau, printed by Langlois for Aimé Bonpland and Alexander von Humboldt's "Voyage de Humboldt et Bonpland" (23 parts, 1805-1834). - 11 engr. by and after P.J.F. This magnificent work is the only major flora work on the Dutch East Indies of the 19th century, continuing Rumpf's pioneering work. - Blackwell, E. - The Medlar Tree. Hand-coloured engr. 1737.
