Contemp. blind-tooled leather over wood, edges bevelled inside, traces of gilding, covers with ornamental border, central and corner ornaments, spine on 2 raised bands, gilt gauffered edges, tooled metal catches and clasps on leather tongues, kept in mod. leather-covered box (head and tail expertly repaired, front joint sl. cracked). In very good condition (occasional minor spotting or soiling).

Charming, richly decorated liturgical book in pocket size. Decorated in vivid colours heightened with gold. Rubricated in red. Painted "exlibris" with date "1834" on reverse of front cover.
