Folio: [246] ff., 42 ll. (tiny single wormholes in 1st and last ff.).

Mod. brown pigskin over wood, flat spine with gilt label, metal catches, 2 (original?) vellum flylvs (front joint split, spine loosening, rubbed, clasps gone). Excellent, well-preserved, copy with wide margins.

3rd ed. (1st 1471) of the Sentences by Petrus Lombardus (1100-1600), a basic philosophical and theological textbook. Petrus, an Italian theologian, was made Bishop of Paris in 1159, the year before he died. The work consists of theological questions posed by Lombard, divided into 4 books: the third book deals with Christ and the Christian religion; and the fourth comprises questions on religious and moral duties.
