Rare Antwerp edition of this work by the Spanish author Juan de Flores (1470-1525). The Spanish text ("Grisel y Mirabella", first ed. 1495?) was translated into Italian by Lelio Manfredi, and from Italian into French by Gilles Corrozet (1510-1568). This 1560 Antwerp edition was shared between the printers Jehan Richart and J. Bellerus. The text is a popular sentimental romance on the power of true love, going through more than 50 editions in several European languages before Cervantes' time.
