19th-c. calf by P. Zillig (label), covers ruled with gilt triple fillet and floral tool corners (spine loose, covers and corners rubbed, modern flyleaves).
Extr. rare 1st edition of this treatise attributed to Bonaventura, but written by Jacobus Mediolanensis during the 13th c., and translated into Dutch by the Minorite Lucas van der Heij (fl. 1508-1520). Ill. by Lucas van Leyden: 3 sm. woodcuts on 1st f. figuring a monk, a pope and a bishop, and a full-page woodcut of Christ with enthroned God the Father on final f. Large printer's mark on f. [275v]. F. A1r printed in red and black.
