Lot description
Type metal, body height from 0,2 to 3,6 cm (sl. surface damage on 1 type, very sm. traces of use).
In original wooden case with sliding lid and metal plate with trademark (lower part of the lid missing for about 5/6 cm). Very nice condition.
Rare set of beautiful fillets and corners from the "Vignette décorative" series, probably almost complete (in its 1905 ed., the firm's cat. mentions 145 pieces). The box is arranged as a type case. The "Fonderie Turlot" was created in 1873 by Alfred Turlot, who passed on his business to his son-in-law Henri Chaix in 1898. This company merged in 1921 with other French foundries to form the "Fonderie typographique française".
