Contemp. calf, gilt-ruled border and gilt medallion portrait of Henri II of France on covers, spine with 4 raised bands (expertly rebacked). Very good copy.

Lyon pocket ed. of Obsequens’ curious work on omens and supernatural events that took place in Rome between 249 and 12 B.C., mainly based on Livy. Woodcut ornament on title. Printed in italics.

It also offers a compact history and geography of the world, esp. of European countries, but there are also chapters on Africa and Asia. Title within elaborate ornamental border. Printed in italics.
