Lot description

Large folded f. (62,5 x 83 cm), on vellum, in Latin (seal missing, tiny holes in folds).

The Pope confirms the election of the abbot Johannes Agritius aus Reckingen after the death of the archbishop of Trier Philipp Christoph von Sötern on 7 February 1652. Reckingen was elected in October 1623. The first line of the bull is decorated with elongated floral initials.
