Watercolour, 33,3 x 37,5 cm, velin paper, signed at bottom "Raphael Rrb. Inv. Jos Demeulemeester Fec" (some tears in the edges).
Original design after the fresco painted by the workshop of Raphael (ca. 1517-19) in the vault of the twelfth bay of the Raphael Loggia in the Vatican. The watercolours by De Meulemeester were made in preparation for the prestigious publication by Reiffenberg in 1844, on the complete paintings of Raphael in the Loggia.
