8vo: [4]-x-404-[10] pp. (some browning and spotting).

Later quarter sheep with initials "AG", gilt orn. spine with 5 raised bands (faded), all edges red.

First edition by the botanist and agronomist E. de Poederlé (1742-1813), considered to be the founder of dendrology in Belgium. He was a contemporary of Duhamel du Monceau and introduced the catalpa, tulip tree, copalier and American oak to our regions. Engr. vign. on title. Title in red & black.
