Contemp. green shagreen, gilt rules and corner tools on covers, gilt orn. spine on 5 raised bands, gilt inside dentelle, gilt orn. sides, a.e.g. Very fine copy.
Edition revised by Auguste Filon, identical to the Sautelet ed. but for the imprint. Printed by "Didot natu minor" (Didot the Younger) in the microscopic type created in 1820 by Henry Didot the Elder, using the polyamatype method invented by him. "In spite of its exceedingly small size Didot's type is of great beauty and amazing clarity" (Bondy). Copy with large margins (!) in a nice and classic binding, not signed but perfectly executed.
