Later edition of the French translation by Du Ryer of the Catholic history of the Dutch Revolt by the Italian Jesuit Strada (1572-1649). A reissue of the ed. published by the widow Foppens in 1705, with a new title. Engr. ill.: frontispice by J. Harrewijn in vol. I, 3 coats of arms of Alexander Farnese on titles, 7 (of 9, 2 id. portr. of Farnese missing) portraits and 16 (of 17, "Prise de Maastricht" missing) folding plates. Titles in red and black. Vol. I last f. [2C]1 (privilege) missing as often.
