Mari Ten Kate (1831-1910) was a Dutch artist working on Romantic genre scenes. Later hand-written attribution in graphite on verso. Only ed. of the major work of the Dutch linguist Lambert ten Kate (1674-1731), a monument of comparative Germanic philology. With engr. ill.: front. by J.
