8vo: [100] ff., 26 ll., on vellum (title soiled, soiling mostly marg., some minor spotting, occ. sm. marg. tears).

19th-c. blind-stamped pigskin over wooden boards by Léon Gruel in 15th-c. style, covers decorated with fillets and roll-stamps, orn. spine with raised bands, fillet on edges and turn-ins, 2 chiselled catches and clasps, a.e.g., endpapers in paper and vellum. Folder and slipcase in black cloth (endpapers browned at the edges due to the binding, inner cloth of folder loosening at the fore-dges, slipcase rubbed). Nice copy.

Extremely rare copy, complete with the final quire containing Penitential Psalms mentioned by CIBN and GW (only 1 of the 5 copies held by public institutions is complete). Almanac for 1488-1508 (a1v). Profusely illustrated with 18 large metalcuts ("Anatomical man", Martyrdom of St John, Passion, Annunciation, Crucifixion, Pentecost, Nativity, Adoration of the Magi...), a combination of historiated borders and decorative elements on each text page (grotesques and architectural, floral and figurative designs). Many gold initials with blue and red penwork and capitals touched in yellow made by a contemp. hand.
