Third edition (1st: 1707) of this fine collection of plans and maps of Milan and Lombardy. With copper-engr. illustrations by Federico Agnelli: 3 fold. maps, 22 full-page city plans (Milan, Pavia, Como, Alessandria, Norvara, Lecco, Lodi, Cremona and so on), plan captions within orn. borders and armorial vignette on title. Sesti (1636-after 1714) started his career as a Military Engineer in 1651 under Philip IV and was still active in 1714 under Charles VI. According to the article of A. Damerie et A. Pozzati, Sesti copied without having the rights, the work of J. Chafrion "Plantas de las fortificaciones de las Ciudades, Plazas y Castillos del Estado de Milan [...]" published in 1687.
