Collection comprising in total 7 parts, compiled and translated by the English captain John Stevens (ca. 1662-1726), originally in monthly issues. This set is composed of parts III-V-VI-VII in first English edition:
- Cieza de León, Pedro - The seventeen years travels, through the mighty kingdom of Peru, and the large provinces of Cartagena and Popayan in South America: from the city of Panama, on the isthmus, to the frontiers of Chile. Now first translated from the Spanish [...]. 1709. [8]-244-[11] pp. (lacking fold. ma, plan & pp. 29-30; marg. wormhole in 1st half, long to first ff.). - [Moüette, Germain] - The travels of the Sieur Moüette, in the kingdoms of Fez and Morocco, during his eleven years captivity in those parts. 1710. 115-[5] pp. (title & map lacking). Story of Moüette's captivity in Morocco where he was imprisoned by the Salé Rovers (corsairs). It was 1st published in French in 1683. Ref. ESTC T133237.
