1. Wang Gai - Jieziyuan Huazhuan [Manual of a mustard seed garden]. Ca. 1800? 16,8 x 26,8 cm (good condition, book case worn). Set of 4 (out of 23?) woodblock printed books, in bookcase. Ink and colour on paper: a. Orchid (with forword), b. Plum, c. Bamboo, d. Chrysanthemum. Later, probably Japanese edition of Chinese Painters Manual. First published in 1679 by the playwright, author and garden designer Li Yu. The manual’s images and texts show a sense of the famous master's styles. It was very successful and became the most widely used book of its type in China, Japan and Korea.-- 2. Takizawa Kiyoshi - Karakusa moyo hinagata [Sample book of foliage patterns]. Matsuzaki Hanzō, Meiji 17 (1884). Woodblock printed book (7,5 x 16,2 cm). Very good condition.
