First edition of the translation from Latin ("De miraculis S. Caielani") by Johann Georg von Werndle. Ill. with 1 copper-engr. Matth. Küsell, showing S. Cajetan of Thiene (1480-1547), Venetian priest who cofounded the Theatine order and became an important figure of the Catholic Counter-Reformation. He is the patron saint of Argentina and of gamblers and the unemployed.
