This masterpiece was illuminated by the famous Jacquemart de Hesdin, the Duke's principal court painter from 1384 to 1409 (date of his death), the Master of Bedford and the Master of Boucicaut. For the first time in the world history of facsimile, the binding of a codex or illuminated manuscript is reproduced using genuine gemstones, not synthetic or reconstructed ones, with a certificate and gemological report of authenticity as a guarantee of authenticity.
