4to: [25] pp., on vellum ruled with red ink and pencil, pen and black ink, in French.
Contemp. green shagreen, large gilt fillets and roll frame on boards, gilt lettered title on upper board, flat spine orn. with sm. tool and fillets on head and tail, green water silk doublures framed with gilt roll and fillets, same water silk endpapers (some min. rubbing). Nice copy.
Luxurious, carefully calligraphed register concerning the family De Ruysscher and allied: Jacobs, Peleman, Blondel, Polspoel, Van Doren, Van Moer, etc. The work is divided into 3 parts (births, marriages, deaths), with a total of 10 double-page tables, containing the surnames, first names and places of origin of about 150 people, with the dates of the acts and the observations. Places of birth: Kapelle-op-den-Bos, Brussels, Sint-Joost-ten-Node, Schaerbeek, Leuven; places of marriage or death: the same ones and also Diest, Paris, Arschot, Molenbeek-Sint-Jan, etc.
Joined: Marriage booklet issued by the City of Brussels on behalf of Jean François De Ruysscher (°1823) and Marie Thérèse Denies (°1827). Brussels, Bols-Wittouck, 1851. 12mo: 2 ff., sewn (disbound). With a birth certificate for their son Joseph (°1852) on flyleaf. (2 vol.)
