2nd state of the Low Countries engraved by Josua vanden Ende. Originally issued in 1608 with decorative borders, in a 2nd state trimmed to fit atlas, with "Ghedruckt t' Amsterdam bij Willem Blaeu op 't Water inde vergulde Zonnewyser" imprint. Date 1608 erased. From a Dutch edition. Nice cartouche in right upper corner with title and privilegium. West at top. Legend on left hand in decorative cartouche with festoons, decorative compass-rose with 32 rhumblines and Dutch name surrounded by a number of flagged vessels and a few sea monsters.
