Engraving, 20,6 x 24,8 cm (visible), laid paper, numbered 3 and address at bottom centre: "G. de Iode excudebat", Latin text in lower margin and on angel's banderole (spot at right edge).

Under passe-partout and gilt frame (not studied outside frame). Good impression and condition.

Angels tell a group of shepherds about the birth of Jesus as described in Luke 2, with a Bible citation below. 2nd state with the address and number as published in later exemplars of the "Thesaurus 1585" (3rd ed. of 8).
