129 silver prints (?), pasted on cardboard, ms. legends in ink (some cardboard supports loose).
Kept in an 8vo-size photo-album, half brown leather, green cloth on covers (spine gone, corners shaved).
Visual journey along the devastation and military infrastructure at the Belgian Yser front during World War I. Album composed by a soldier: "moi même blessé, jambe gauche", "Guy et moi sur la route de Pervyse à Dixmude". A.o. Pervijse, Oostkerke, ruined houses and churches near Oostkerke, Lo-Reninge, Lampernisse, Zoutenaaie, Diksmuide, floods nearby Stuyvekenskerke, observations near Baeskerke, a road to Lo-Renighe. Furthermore photos of army men, army material, horses, artillery, graves and trenches. Some photographs with detailed legends giving us the name or function of the people portrayed: a.o. "Le Roi [Albert I] et [Alexandre] Millerand (French Minister of War) et Poincaré [French President] à la Panne", "M.elle Peltzer et fils Depage", and another photo with legend "Prins, O.r, Broqueville, Vaes, A. Bern, Miss Amy Worton, Le francq, fils Depage".
