Rare reissue of two important Bible commentaries by the Leuven theology professor and first bishop of Ghent C. Jansenius the Elder (Hulst 1510-1576 Ghent), first published 1569 (Psalmos) and 1589 (Proverbia). Engr. author's portrait on both titles by Willem de Haen (1st one drawn over).
