Large folio: 19 double-paged drawings, in pen and brown ink, watercoloured, on laid paper (some defects incl. a few spots and damp stains).
Contemp. boards, mottled paper (rubbed, edges worn).
Unique elaborated atlas incl. a world map, 5 maps of the continents (2 maps of the Americas), a map of the Pacific with Australia and a map of the Balkan Peninsula, and 10 country maps of France, Italy, Netherlands and Belgium, Spain, Switzerland, Germany, British Isles, Scandinavia, Russia, Palestine, and a regional map of the Vosges department. Although the practice of drawing school atlases by hand was widespread, the author here seems to be an adult woman, maybe a teacher, probably from the Vosges, who drew the atlas as part of the geography lesson.
