He devoted a large part of his later life on a project of 360 paintings, named "Mystique de la Bible" which he exhibited in London in 1928 at Grafton Galeries. This spectacular set of 7 drawings with Passion subjects (Christ and Veronica, Christ before Pilate, Christ in Limbo, etc.) can most lileky be seen within the larger context of this ambitious project.
