Beschrijving lot
Drawing, pencil heightened with white, 27,6 x 16,3 cm, brown velin paper, unsigned (laid down on cardb. support, sm. loss of paper at lower left corner and lower right edge, minor foxing, discolouration along the edges).
The figure of a standing prophet, after the same figure in Andrea Del Sarto's Journey of the Magi in the Basilica della Santissima Annunziata in Florence. The figure is sometimes interpreted as a self-portrait of the Florentine artist.
