Reprints of the Hōeidô edition. Well executed impressions with fresh and vibrant colours. Good condition. The Hōeidō edition of the Tōkaidō is the most well-known work of Hiroshige and the best-selling in the history of Ukiyo-e. They took full advantage of the possibilities open to them after the assimilation of the Western perspective by Japanese artists and Hiroshige's prints were widely appreciated, not only in Japan, but later in the West.
