Oil and watercolour on canvas, 30,6 x 45,4 cm, signed and dated at lower right "A. Heins 1916, à Lathem".
Nice landscape by the Ghent artist Armand Heins (1856-1938). After the death of his father and his elderly brother, he moved to Latem in 1910 were he became close friends with George Minne, Émile Claus and Cyriel Buysse.
Joined: 1. Interesting collection of 15 drawings by Armand Heins, dated between1882 and 1933. Including studies after the castle of Welden, landscape drawings of Latem, farm interiors and the castle of Ooidonk. - 2. Idem - 2 lithos from the series "Vieux coins en Flandre" (1903). - 3. Travel album of the "Flandricarum Antiquitatum Investigatores", a short-lived antiquarian society which included Armand Heins. The album contains the itinerary, letters, photos and drawings as travel impressions of a day excursion on 29 July 1901 to Oudenaarde, Deinze, Petegem, Doregem and Elsegem. With original covers designed by Heins. (18 pcs)
