7 lever arch files, 4to, bookplates engraved on paper (2 stamped on leather), mounted on paper or black bristol lvs (except 1 file where they are loosely arranged in plastic sleeves; files used). Fine condition.

Remarkable set of bookplates, mainly Belgian, but also British (1 folder of +/- 150 pieces), French, German, Dutch, Italian and Spanish, mainly from the 18th and 19th centuries. Most of them are identified and often accompanied by a typed note (some with ms. annotations) giving a short biography and a description of the coat of arms, as well as the reference to classical manuals (Linnig, Quantin, etc.). Arranged alphabetically (in each file). The enclosed correspondence (100/150 typescripts or ms.) relates exclusively to the collection: letters, invoices, prospectuses, lists of members of collectors' circles, genealogical notes, etc., from 1944 to about 1957.
Prov. Chevalier A. de Selliers de Moranville (1884-1990), ordinance officer of Leopold II, Resistance fighter during the Occupation, founder in 1953 of the Musée de la Dynastie (now integrated in the Musée Belvue), held numerous civil and military positions and was a municipal councilor of Ixelles from 1946 to 1955 (stamps on the back of some supporting documents).
