Very rare biography of the Kortrijk priest Josephus van Dale (1716-1781) and an account of his struggle against poverty and begging, composed by the prolific ecclesiastical Roeselare author L.-A. Caytan (1742-1813). Contains also a "Korte schets van het leven van J.B. van Roo priester van Yper" and a lot of interesting information about West Flanders. One folding f. between pp. 338-339.
