A painting with similar composition and attributed to Adriaen van de Velde belongs to the collection of the Kunsthistorisches Museum Wien. Further research is necessary to determine whether this drawing can be attributed to Adriaen van de Velde or to his pupil Dirck van den Bergen (1645-1690).
