Chûban tate-e (vertical), 4 prints (of a series of 54). Good condition, nice colours.

Framed (not studied outside frame).

Chap. 18: Matsukaze.-- Chap. 28: Nowaki (both with signature: Ichiyôsai Toyokuni-ga).-- Chap. 40: Minori.-- Chap. 35: Waka-no-ga (both with signature: Kôchôrô Toyokuni ga).
Only a few Kunisada prints in the Heian court style are known. This series seems to be inspired by a Katsuka Shunso series "Fashionable brocade pictures of the Tales of Ise" designed around 1770.
