Oil on canvas, 66 x 81 cm, unsigned (small (1 cm) professionally repaired scratch at lower right).
In a gilt 19th-c. frame.
Italian landscape with peasants herding cows and oxes, crossing a river. Both subject matter and pictorial style are closely inspired by the works of the Dutch "Italianisant" painter Nicolaes Berchem (1620-1683).
