4 vol., folio (2 of Supplement): [16, engr. title incl.]-672-235-[24], [4]-572, [4]-508, [2]-1/318-[2]-319/444-xxxiii pp.; 75 pl. (with the extra quires in vol. II, Suppl. vol. I & II; some ff. +/- browned, foxing, soiling to p. 377 of vol. II).
Contemp. marbled calf, gilt ruled covers with one fillet and one roll-stamp, gilt orn. spines with raised bands, red sprinkled edges (sl. rubbed, most joints split). Wide-margined copy.
Later edition of this historical work by Butkens (1590-1650), with genealogical information on numerous Brabant families. Engr. ill.: title by M. Borrekens after A. van Diepenbeeck, title vignettes, a portrait and initial by D. Coster, a portrait of Butkens by J. Harrewijn after van Diepenbeeck, 2 folding maps (Brabant, Sonian Forest), 72 engravings including a view of the palace in Brussels, 19 views of castles, 27 portraits, etc. and more than 500 in-text of which some full page (coat of arms, seals, funeral monuments...). Enriched, in vol. II of Supplement, with ms. pp. 315a-316a with drawn coat of arms.
