Although the original antique wonders only counted 7, Van Heemskerck added the Colosseum in Rome as an eighth wonder. The plate of the light house of Pharos is missing.
Nice grey impressions of the 1st state (of 3), before the publ. address of Theodoor Galle, and with sm. defect in the first plate (i.e. The pyramids). With engr. text margin with Latin verses by Hadrianus Junius.
