Ca. 1630-1700
Drawing, black chalk, 8,7 x 10 cm, laid paper, unsigned (trimmed to image, lower right corner torn, sm. tear at lower left, sl. stained).
A lively drawing a standing goat, drafted by a skillfull hand. In the manner of the goats by Nicolaes Berchem (1620-1683) or Paulus Potter (1625-1654). Very comparable to the latter's study of a standing pig at the Rijksmuseum (RP-T-1972-6).
