Second edition of the tragedies of Seneca, with the commentary of Gellius Bernardinus Marmita. Preceded by two dedicatory chapters of Gellius to Guillaume de Rochefort, Lord Chancellor of France. This edition rapidly supplanted the edition of Balbius and was the most valued among the first printed editions of Seneca. Rubricated in red and blue. Some ms. commentaries and corrections throughout. "Cette édition reproduit celle de Lyon, Lambillon et Sarrazin, 1491, 28 novembre. Marmita qui l'a donnée, était alors en France, peut-être à Lyon, car dans cette préface il parle d'Henri Scillacius, abbé de l'île Barbe, puis à Paris, et en 1493 il fut appointé comme professeur de poésie et d'éloquence en la ville d'Avignon.
