Very atmospheric winter landscape with a the silhouette of a woman seen walking through a forest. Maurice Hagemans (1852-1917) was one of the finest Belgian impressionist painters and a personal friend of Félicien Rops. He had his studio in Brussels where he was one of the founding members of the "Cercle des Aquarellistes et des Aquafortistes Belges". His works are now part of major Belgian art museums.
