Couloured pencil drawing, 59 x 43,5 cm, wove paper 70,5 x 53 cm (visible part); signed, dated and dedicated in black pencil.

Framed (a few faint fox.). Not studied ouside frame.

Vivid colours for this portrait of a Renaissance man inscribed in a brown frame and depicted as a hippie, with inscription "S. Hippy.Hipelia" in green pencil to the right (a pun on "Hippie" and "Elias" ?). E. Elias (Ostend 1936-2007) was a Belgian painter, pastellist and draughtsman, who counted among the "new figurative", the European variant of pop art.
