2 parts in 1 vol. 8vo: 7-[1]-424, 302-[18] pp. (clear marg. damp stains, large in the end, some foxing, burning in the text of pp. 87-194 of 2nd part with light stain on the following ff.).

Contemp. red morocco ornamented with gold dots, double gilt ruled covers finely decorated with tools including a central lozenge-shaped ornament with monogram "C C" interlaced, gilt ornamented spine with the same dotted tools with raised bands, gilt edges (sm. traces of use to spine, lower cover & lower edges sl. rubbed, sm. ink stain to lower cover, upper joint partly split, corners bumped).

Vulgata Sixto-Clementina. Copper-engr. vignette on title with motto "Virtus non territa monstris".
Ref. Bibles de Paris, 4458. - Not in Darlow & Moule.
Prov. Monogram "CC" on covers, i.e. most probably the abbot Condamin de Clumanc from Brignoles (France) (ref. Oliver, Hermal & de Roton 1073, associated with the coat of arms of Louis Duchesne or Duchaîne, bishop of Senez). - Contemp. ms. entries.
