Third volume of Mortier's second edition of Blaeu's Italian town atlas. Mortier retouched several of the Blaeu maps and added many new maps of his own design. Rare variant in which the 40 maps and plates of the towns were amended with 10 province maps, indicating that the first owner most likely did not possess a complete Atlas Maior. Bound with 1 extra map at the end: "Le plan de Barcelonne et de ses environs" (Amsterdam, N. Visscher, s.d.). Includes large folding plates figuring Naples (53 x 122 cm) and its royal palace. Very good impression. Well preserved copy.
