Cont. blind-tooled tinted pigskin over wood, spine on 4 raised bands, metal catches, fore-edge titled, with tabs (rubbed, clasps gone, endpapers lifted).

Important collection of 4 medieval commentaries on Aristotle, some with the (Latin) text, 3 by the French Dominican philosopher Johannes Versoris (Letourneur, d. 1485) and 1 by the Spanish Franciscan theologian Andreae (1280-1320). Blind printing on a1 (1st work) and X5v (3rd work). Decoration: rubricated throughout; 8 large woodcut initials decorated in various combinations of green, blue, yellow and red (5 not decorated); 2 painted initials with a "portrait" in 1st work (20r, 48v); painted 5-line initial in 3rd work (36v); large rubricated initials in 4th work.
