Third enlarged counterfeit Dutch edition (1st counterf. ed.: 1711), the original having been published in 1709 in Paris (re-ed. 1713, 1722, 1732). This influential treatise on garden architecture and horticulture was written by the French author Dezallier d'Argenville (1680-1765). Anonymous ed., complete with 42 folding plates, unnumbered and unsigned, depicting ground plans of gardens, pumps, fountains, etc. Some woodcuts in text and woodcut ornament on title.
