D. 9 cm, H. 3,3 cm, lid in two mobile parts decorated with coloured lithogr. "verre églomisé" subjects on white background, sides with gold painted embossed foliate pattern paper band and gilt metal rim, inside lined with pink paper (some min. chips on cover picture, sm. water stains inside the powder compartment).

The middle part, with the incription "C'est L'Amour qui fait le monde â la ronde", is ornated with six faces of French comedians in their best roles. By rotating the lid, a different face appears in the clear-glass window on the projection screen of the lantern image. The figures are captioned: Mme Gavaudan: Chaperon, Vernet: M. de Goujons, Mme Paradol: Elisabeth, Perlet: Gastronome, Melle. Mars: Fille d'Honneur, Potier - Petites Danaides.
