Oblong 4to: [8]-655-[1] pp. (missing pl.: allegorical engr. A1, index lf. inner margin partly missing, map of Bavaria on p. 427 pasted on as usual, some marg. repairs, sm. wormhole, occ. light damp stain, sl. stronger in the last 50 pp., some marg. tears).
Contemp. mottled calf, blind fillet frame and gilt coat of arms "AH" on boards, gilt-orn. spine (weak joints, spine with sm. defects, tr. of use).
Second enlarged French edition of Mercator's Atlas Minor, published after the death of Cornelis Claesz. in 1609, but still with the original Latin title page, the name of Claesz. and a slip of paper pasted adding the 2nd part of the French title. With 146 engr. maps, incl. a world map, 4 continents, polar map, Europe (113 maps), Africa (4 maps), Asia (11 maps), America (5 maps) and the Ancient World (7 maps).
